Sisterhood & Graduation

The transition from Student to Alumni Member in the XPL Chiropractic Sorority is one of great excitement, prospect, accomplishment and development. Through 3-3.5 years of dedication, study, and effort you have arrived at the beginning of the rest of your life.

So, what now? What is the next step in your journey?

Will you associate in an existing practice or open up all your own?

Will you stop at DC or continue towards a diplomate?

Looking to start a family?

Just tell me where to start, right?

Regardless of the path you choose after walking across that stage, you will always be an Chi Rho Lambda sister with the rights and privileges our sisterhood offers you.  You are responsible for your continued participation in homecoming activities of your college/ university and to be a part of any Sisters Reconnect gatherings that take place. Other than that, take pride in the path you choose. We are so excited to have you as one of us!

Before Graduation

The year leading up to graduation is crucial. This is the perfect time to start making plans for life after school. There are a host of mentors, guides, and alumni sisters available to you. We’ve been there and are here for you! Visit Sisters Reconnect gatherings, contact the Grand Council for connections in states you are considering practicing, and begin building relationships with Alumni and Affiliates who are living congruently with their chiropractic principles and values. Doing the aforementioned will set you up for kicking butt in the future!

The month prior to graduation, your student chapter secretary will send your name to the Grand Council for recommendation to become a Grand Council Member of the XPL Sorority. This is a vital and necessary step in your transitioning from Student Member to Alumnae Member of the Chi Rho Lambda Sorority and joining the ranks of the Sisterhood.

After Graduation

The Grand Council will vote to accept your nomination at their next meeting. If, for any reason you are not accepted, you will be notified by the Secretary of the Grand Council, given specific information on what is necessary for your nomination to be accepted, and what the protocol and process entails. Within one week of graduation, add your name, address, and pertinent information in the “Alumni Database” for your chapter.

Once your nomination has been accepted and passed by a vote of the Grand Council, you will be contacted by the chair of the Membership Committee with pertinent information, opportunities available to you, questions regarding how the XPL sorority can support you, and information on how to become an Active Grand Council Member, including information for first-year graduate dues to the Chi Rho Lambda Chiropractic Sorority.
